Is there a weight limit on a 3 pt hitch?

I have a IH 424 gasoline tractor. I'm making some items for the 3 pt. hitch and was concerned about how much is to much for the hitch to lift? I've made a platform that I can put heavy items on and load into my pickup with out having to use my back.
As you can tell, I'm new to having a tractor and this is my fun toy that I've always wanted, so at 67, I finally got one.
Another question, what year would this tractor be made in?

That is a nice little tractor, It was in production from 1964 - 1967,
It should lift a little over a ton at the 3pt. If you have enough weight to keep the front end on the ground. If you exceed its ability to lift the hydraulics will just bypass the lift at the internal releaf valve. KennyV

I agree with KennyV, depends on front end weight, without weight 1000 lbs can be tippy.
That said the hydraulics for the hitch should handle between 1500 and 2000 lbs.

I'm not fond of the new way tractor data has been set up. Use to be everything was on one page. Now they got some new fancy smancy programer who has put tabs for each category. For the tractor in question I could not find info on the 3tp other than it was a cat I.

No, there was no data for the 3 pt lift capacity, but having had similar IH tractors and JD tractors in the past I know the specs are competitive. My prior JD 820 at 4000 lbs had a capacity of 1800 lbs at 24" behind the link arms.

My dad bought one new in 1965. Tough as nails. I know my brother and I did everything imaginable to kill it. As to the lift capacity, the front end spent more time off the ground than it did on it!!! No power steering, so pop the clutch and turn the wheel while front off the ground. Long story short, don't worry about the lift capacity just worry if you have enough weight on the front end to hold it down. Also the steering brakes were hard to use. Legs would be worn out at end of the day from pressing as hard as you could. Lots of great memories when you said Intl. 424. Hope you have a great time with your new to you 424.
