Is there any issue with significantly extending the length of exhaust tubing?

Go to a junk yard and get a draft inducer power vent off of an high efficiency hot water tank or forced air furnace. It will be able to handle the exhaust.

A garage does the same thing all the time when working on cars in the winter. They just slide a hoes over the end of the exhaust. It could be loud though as the sound will radiate from the exhaust pipe. Being indoors the sound will bounce off the walls.

I've got quite a bit of either 1.5" or 1.25" black pipe. Think it's big enough? How much heat do you think this motor will put off? In the winter it's not a problem, but in the summer this building stays quiet a bit cooler than the ambient air which could be nice.

We were without power here for about 28 hours after our first snow fall. I ran my generator in the shop. It's a 2200 watt Yamaha inverter type. I had the door and window cracked open for fresh air and it's insulated but not totally sealed tight. When the power came back on it was about 65 F inside the shop. It took several days with the doors closed for the fumes to dissipate enough so that I could comfortably work in there again.
