Thanks guys, I might try adding to them because right now I can't tolerate the ride.

Surprised nobody suggested it, but if you're running the tires at "recommended" air pressure, or even worse at the max on the tire, try running them much lower. Your traction will improve, as will the ride. I'd suggest 5-8psi in the rear, and 10-15 in the front to see if it makes a difference. As an added bonus, you'll find that you get much better ride over bumps, and better traction in soft conditions.

Airing down is minimal work, and free, so it's worth a try! :)

Aw dang.

Well, I second the idea then. :)

Cut the center links out and add cross link v bar chains to every other link on the outside chain. The chains I had were already V-bar so adding a few cross chains made the set perfect. The chains fall into the grooves and the V-bars stick up. They go down the road smooth and give good traction. CJ

I added patterns to my duo grips for more traction but I never noticed that they rode rough even on frozen ground. This is on a 10klb+ tractor.

I agree with RickB and RedNeck - chains will ride rough, but you'll benefit from the traction.
