The silver one is for the new 50 series you can still use the older orange one (30 series) but not with a FEL, it does not accomidate the new curved loader arms.
Is there more than one grill guard for the BX series?

There are two models for the 2350, neither of which is the one from the 2230, as one person alludes to. When I purchased my BX2350, I too thought that the silver one looked cheesy on the models that the dealer had.
However, I ordered mine, and was asked simply "Do you want the grill guard?" I said "yes" of course, and when it arrived, it was the tubular (oval) orange one. I pointed the difference out to the dealer, and he couldn't even tell me why I got that one(?)
I'm not that impressed with my dealer, so it doesn't surprise me that they didn't know about the two models.

Here's my guard on my 2350. As I said in a previous post, my salesman couldn't tell me why I got it.
Thats a far cry from what mine came with. My salesman only knew the silver, logo'd model came on the TLB's but he checked the fit, as per my request, ordered it and I traded up. It's not the best shot, but this is what the stock one looked like on the BX2230
