BCS tractor, model ?
I recently came across this BCS tractor with a brush cutter and snowblower attachment. From my research, I think I have narrowed it down to a model 735. Can anyone confirm?
It has the reversible handle bar feature, looks like a differential lock, 2 handbrakes, Engine model ALN 330 WB 10 HP, S/N A/291710.
Tires 5 X 10.00
Transmission casting *57244* BCS7554R DGM 3782

It hadn't been run for probably 15 years and it fired up. I cleaned the tank and carb of the rotten gas and seems to run strong. I need to tweek the governor linkage as it runs too fast right now. If someone can confirm the model number that would help out a lot! It has the splined PTO drive. Hopefully the pics come through.
Thanks,
Dave from Nakusp.

Not sure as I don't have one, but I looked at a new one today at the farm store. Nice unit. Expensive, but nice.

It could be, it could also be a Mainline tiller, they looked similar to the early BCS tillers (they might have been bought out by them?).
I have a Mainline Mountaineer II REV1500 which has a similar ACME engine on it. I posted some pictures on here: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=398550

I believe it is. I have one, and it is a nice model because it has the differential lock.

That looks just like the 735 that I have in my shed, bought new in '87. I see your gas tank is missing, mine has a metal tank with plastic cap with a chain tether. Mine doesn't have the connected handlebar though.

I removed the gas tank to clean it out. The gas was sour. I haven't seen any other pics with the connected bars either. Thanks for your reply. I am new to these units but I am impressed with the engineering. Looking fwd to having it all fine tuned!

It is an awesome machine, I have a 40" finish mower deck and sulky that I used to mow my yard for several years along with the tiller in my big garden. The garden is almost a 1/2 mile at my old homeplace and I used a two-wheel trailer to haul all my tools and the high transport speed was really nice.

Hi 'Dave from Nakusp', this is Al from Slocan Park - welcome.
Yes, Earth Tools in Kentucky is the only way to go (in my opinion). Stopped by there last Fall to pick up our flail mower, great people to deal with.

Cheers :drink:
