is this a good price for a jd 4300. iam looking at one that has 990 hrs. its a 4x4 with a jd loader,turf tires,hydro, and a set of fork lifts. all for $10,000. i dont know much about the jd tractor itself. is this a good long lasting tractor. iam only scared about the hours that are on it. thanks for any help.

I have the Deere 4300 and think it is a real solid tractor. I have toyed with the idea of trading up to a 3520, but there are some things I like better with the 4300 that have kept me from doing that. Also, the 4300 hasn't given me any reason for not keeping it around. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif My dealer says they bring good money used, and he has several buyers interested in mine when I trade it in. Apparently their market value is strong (which I don't think is just because of the color of the paint /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif )
Do a search on the 4300's here and you will get a lot of info on them.

I just bought a 4300. A neighbor owned it and I had used it for a couple of summers. I put about 80+ hours on it. It has about 180 on it now. I know this tractor has had no issues. I love it so far. Mine came with FEL, post hole digger, york rake, rototiller and bush hog. I got it for 16K.
One of the local dealers told me they have one on the lot for 15K. (not sure of hours) He also said he has seen 4300's come through with almost 4000 hours on them.

Brinks: Seems like a great deal. Maybe too good. Have it checked out carefully before you put your money down.
