I'm never used one... but IMO, Yardman doesn't make the best products. If it's cheap and you won't use it a whole lot it would probably be fine. If you are interested in a quality new weedeater... I would look at Echo. They make quality products for fair prices.

I see on one website where Ace Hardware prices the new Yardman for $89.99, and I saw on e-Bay where a one year old model recently sold for $2.50. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif In my opinion, both Stihl and Echo are first choice, but those cheap ones may work just fine if properly cared for and maintained.

Quite a few years ago, my first gas powered string trimmer was a Ryan and while I heard some bad things about them, mine worked great and I was not happy, when after two years, it was stolen. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
