I'm not worried about the engineering. Looks like standard slipper springs to me. What I'm wondering about specifically is the little pucker over where the springs come out the back. I'm assuming the hole in the tinner backer plate was a hair smaller or not quite lined up with where the springs come through.

A lot of the bigger over the road trailers that I inspect on the job and even some of the trucks, have rubber pads up inside that the tale of the spring ride on which would prevent the slight damage you are seeing.

If you have any doubt and since it’s a newish trailer under warranty take it back and get them to look at it just in case. Then the important part. Get them to write it down on a company letter head. If it’s needed later their will be way less debate about warrant issue even if the warranty is expired.
I suspect it’s fine.
