If Bobcat drops the Kubota engines.........Expect Kubota to start rolling out skidsteers. Let the games begin!!

When I was at the Kubota dealer last week, the dealer told me Kubota has plans for a skidsteer, but that he wasn't planning on carrying them because he was already a bobcat dealer for years.

That is already happening. Kubota has had a prototype skid steer around for a long time. We've all pretty much known that. Given Bobcats entrance into the tractor business, Kubota has now announced they are entering in the skid steer business.

I called a friend of mine that works at a Bobcat dealership and spoke with him to see what info he had. He said he had info on 3 different tractors at this time, CT120, CT225 CT230. It's the 21, 25 and 30hp Kioti models.

No info on FEL capacity at this time and no mention on QA for the loader in his literature. He did say there might be slight changes to the loader arms; thought they might be bobcat design, but wasn't sure yet. Basically he has some info, but not much.

What are the specs on the loader and does it have a Bobcat QA?

That is a Rhino loader.
It will either be a 2406TL or a 2407TL
2406TL lifts 850lbs
2407TL lifts 1035lbs
Now that is going from the specs in my Rhino book.

That sounds like advantage to Kioti's KL120 and KL130 unless those are mid bucket lift capacities rather than at pivot points.

Funny how that photo makes the loader arms look kinda scrawny compared to the Kioti loaders too.

I called my dealer regarding this issue and he is getting me the info -- I will update when received. I did ask him about the loader arm differences and he stated that (accornding to Bobcat product reps )the Kioti loader didn't meet Bobcat specs so they went in another direction.

Another thing that will be interesting to see if what bobcat offers for financing. I know you never see construction equipment financed for terms longer that 60 months, while just about every tractor manufacturer offers up to 84 month terms and cnh does 96 months. It also seems like the interest rates on most tractor loans are lower than the rates offered for constuction equipment loans financed for the same length of time. I'm sure they have something in mind that will allow them to compete with offers like kubota's 0% for 36mo, cnh's past crazy offers on some models like 0%for 60mo and 2.9% for 96mo, and kioti's 5.9% for 84mo.

Well according to what I was told, " Bobcat will not get our loaders"
It sounds more like they can't get them, not that they don't want them.
So as far as specs when you get up in to the 40hp tractor and up good luck getting a loader to out spec Kioti.

Since I'm guessing here, I'm going to say it's probably because Bobcat doesn't want the Kioti loaders due to cost.

From my understanding, Kioti doesn't make their own loaders and someone else is making them for them. So if Bobcat goes directly to the builder, uses a different builder, or makes their own, it might be cheaper for them since they are knocking out Kioti as the middle man. This should help them be a little more competitive, since they already have to compete directly with the builder of the tractor, Kioti.

Well you would think they would want them because all of the r and d is already done all they have to do is paint them white and hang them, that sound like the cheapest way.

My Rhino rep was here earlier this year and said Bobcat did approach them for their loaders.
I wounder if they will have backhoes available and if so who will be the supplier?

I was told buy a customer of mine that he did see a new Bobcat at the Bloomsburg fair here in Pa.
