I have a DK 40 HST with about 75 hrs. Did all fluid and filters at 50 hrs. Hit the zerks regularly.

In short; i take care of her.

Recently had a slab poured and now parking on concrete. there is a slow hydraulic fluid leak. it seems to be coming from the center of the chassis. Located pretty much dead center under the seat. If you look under the tractor there are some openings arranged in a square pattern. Not threaded just holes. I will try to get a pic tonight to post.

it is a slow drip and looks like less than an ounce overnight. I knowI can check the fluid level and top off but my concern is a poor fit where the tractor is split. Not looking for a catastrophic leak !!

I have checked and find no loose fittings.

The drip is coming from inside the chassis and is not accessible.

Any thoughts??

Very likely a gasket or seal. Depends on where it is actually coming from.

I would have it checked by the dealer, on a relatively new tractor no amount of leakage is normal.

the leak is not normal on that new of a machine - warranty should fix it ! might be in for a long struggle with the dealer or the company but it should get fixed ! hope I am wrong on the struggle , good luck

I have had the exact same problem since new.

sometimes those fittings seem tight, but they need a little more to seal....

I would check all the dealer-installed connections first (loader, extra remotes, etc). Ideally, have the dealer check it out. It shouldn't be your problem.

I doubt that you have a factory leak. If you do, there is no need of even farting with it, just take it and get it fixed. It is good for the factory to be aware of these details.

I had a leak on the dealer-installed remotes. It was a bugger to find it and a bugger to get wrenches in there, and it took two goes at it to finally get it tight enough to stop the seep once and for all. My dealer is 6 hours away.....

If you have oil coming out of the oval hole just rear of the engine bell housing it's a known issue. As I understand it, during assembly there is a shaft seal that can easily be installed wrong and the factory has a habit of doing it wrong on a semi frequent basis.

The resolution is to pull the tractor apart and replace the seal. When I told my dealer what was happening he knew right away where the problem was.

Luckily I was still within my warranty period and after the repair, the tractor has never leaked a drop again.
