help!

Hello,
1) Is this item still available for sale?
2) I will like to know the last asking price for the item?
3) The current condition of the item?
4)The current picture of the item (if available)?
5)I will like to know if you can accept US Local bank certified cashier`s check?
6) I will like to know if you allow a local pick up at your house, store or office?
7)Will you be able to wire shipping funds to the shipper thru western union money transfer in order to come and pick up the item?
If you are ok with the procedure , get back to me with your name , address and phone number where you want the payment to be addressed to.
I await your response today cos the item needed urgently
Thanks

number (7) sounds weird.

Agreed. Anytime somebody wants you to wire funds, it's a scam. I also would be very cautious about accepting a cashiers check or any type of check. It's too easy to forge them nowadays with a computer and printer. Cash or go to the bank together to transfer the funds. I also wouldn't even reply to anybody who is trying to make arrangements without coming out to see your item.

If I were to email someone regarding the purchase of a TLB, or etc., I would be inclined to include my name and phone number. The reply has scammer written all over it.

What kind of check would be the best to accept when selling something like this? My question would apply to an in person exchange of goods perhaps with a joint trip to the bank as well as a transaction not done in person.

This is a classic scam. He sends the certified check. It "appears" to clear the bank. Confident, you wire the transport money. Later, your bank tells you the certified check was a fraud. You are out the wired funds, and never hear from the guy again.

If they don't have proper English and can't spell but can spiel , I smell scam immediately. Note that all the words are actually SPELLED correctly (spell check is wonderful) and are phonetically correct but contextually incorrect.

The inquiry is extremely generic... nothing specific about your item... makes it easy to send out 1000's of such and wait for a sucker to take the bait.

If you can't meet in person and get cash...it is a clear scam.

This scam could not be more certain.

Remember that the internet is INTERNATIONAL and that EVERYTHING we write is PUBLIC for truly ALL THE WORLD TO SEE..and they do! Am certain if you looked under the covers of the responders communication you would find servers in Europe or Asia.

Insist on face-to-face with him or his representative, with cash in hand. Let him arrange his own transportation and pay for it himself.
Get yourself one of those counterfeit detecting pens, and check every note.

I was notified by e-mail the other day that an atm for 1.5 million dollars was available to me and all I need to do to get it is to send the fedex express shipping money. There was a number to call to set it up and all. I decided to forget about it. My wife said she had no idea what we could do with that much money so she didn't want it.
