Is this practice bad (Ramming something with FEL)

Heck, I try to push trees over. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I don't think anyone has a problem with pushing - its moving before you hit something that makes it iffy.

Depends what you hit of course.

When the salesman delivered my BX I rammed his trailer. Pretty sure that will void the warranty

If you're using SUDT you can ram stuff.
If you're not you can't.
