I called a dealer today and he quoted me $16820 out the door on a 5500 4WD. I paying cash and I know there are rebates and cash back incentives, but this sounds like a jam up good price for all you get in a 5500. I think he might even do better on that price if I'll visit his dealership and get serious about buying from him... maybe buy by implements from him as well.

I've been tossing around buying my first tractor... researching mainly the big 3 or 4... and have completely overlooked Mahindra's. Just stumbled across a dealer about an hour away today and he starts telling me about Mahindra's.

I'm impressed if it is really what it claims to be. Have I stumbled on a sweet find here? Can I do better?

Thanks!

Thanks... I was beginning to wonder if all the Mahindra owners were just out enjoying their toy... I mean tractor.

I cruised by the dealer yesterday evening when we went to eat in the nearby town where the dealer is located. They even had Farmtrac and Tafe tractors. I was overly impressed by the quality build of the Mahindra along with the standard equipment in comparison to the other tractors. For the same money it's night and day difference... favorable of course to the Mahindra's.

These look like solid machines and the prices are just hard to beat. I don't understand why there isn't a larger customer base here on this forum than what there is.

I'm in Texas, but I would check with all of the
Dealers in your area. Research the heck out of it. Is
there a rebate going on at this time? As for the tractor-
it's a beast.

There appears to be a $600 rebate if I pay cash... which I now plan on doing. Okay... well I'm about $3000 short on the tractor with FEL but I'll have my banker stick that on a single pay note for a few months.

I've called all the dealers within a 100 mile radius... there are 4. One has not called me back yet... one obviously wasn't wanting to sale one so bad due to his pricing being so much higher. The other two are fairly close but the one with the best price thus far will only charge me $100 if he has to pick up and deliver the unit for warranty work. The next lowest price wants $200 for pick up and delivery. I feel pretty confident I can do all the normal service work when needed.

Currently the best price I have for the 5500 4WD with 265 FEL including Quick Attach is $20,745 delivered. He is ~55 miles from me. The closest dealer is ~44 miles and is the one that hasn't called me back yet.

That sounds like an outstanding price to me. My 4110 was $19,300 with the FEL and QA.

WOW! Check this out!

I just hung up the phone with that dealer that is closest to me who had not called me back yet. He quoted me a 6500 4WD with the 265 FEL (No Quick Attach) for $23852 delivered this week!

I don't know if I can pass this up... it's probably a little more tractor than I need but it means I could run a 7' cutter with ease and have plenty of HP for just about any task.

I AM ICTHIN' TO BUY!

Get the skid steer quick attach. It was a $300 option for me and well worth it.

I have the 6500 4wd and that's a good price, and you'll never be sorry for having more tractor. I looked at a 5500 the other day and it looked tiny compared to the 6500. Not that looks are anything, but you'd love the 6500 and it'll work it's but off for you.

You just have to get the QA on the FEL, you won't regret it!
Think pallet forks, grapple, ditcher..etc

Pardon my ignorance... what is a grapple?

EDIT: The QA simply makes it easier to swap out attachments, right? Without it, it will take longer to swap out the attachments because you have to take the pins out, etc. Basically just makes things a little quicker?
