I'm not sure how everyone else feels, but lately I have had a hard time keeping up with all of the posts on this site. All in all, I suppose that that is a good problem to have.

In years past I could spend about 10-to-20 minutes scanning a day's worth of posts and replying to the ones where I felt I could make a worthwhile contribution. And if I had to skip a day or two it wouldn't take long to get caught back up.

Nowdays, it seems like it takes more than 30 minutes to scan a day's worth of posts, and if I have to skip a day or two, I might as well plan on spending several hours getting caught up, and then I usually miss one or two topics that I might have been able to contribute to.

Is this problem limited to me, or are others feeling this way? Anyone keep statistics on how many posts per day this site receives (I'm sure Muhammad or one of the other moderators know these figures...)?

Thanks,
Kelvin

Kelvin,

You are right, there is getting to be more and more people here and keeping up is tough. I use the monitor all threads and now I watch the New Holland ones and some of the photos and rural ones. But I just don't have time to watch them all.

There are around 600 posts per day average... but plenty of days hit 700-800, which is quite a few to read.

Soon we'll have a new feature that should make "keeping up" a little easier.

Wow! 600-to-800 posts per day is a lot more than I would have guessed. No wonder I have a hard time keeping up.

I look forward to trying out your new feature when you get it going!

Thanks again for keeping up such a great site,
Kelvin

There are forums that I just don't go too. Other tractors etc., news/feedback etc. I scan TBN like this. Check any post I have made, I think it's common curtiousy (OK, for 3 minutes I tried spelling this stinkin word and it's not comming to me) to acknwledge those that reply to your post. I check the buying/pricing, owner/operator, attachments, Kubota, a little JD, a little NH and of course rural living and related topics, after that, I just don't get to involved.

TBN to the Rescue! Spell Check AKA "Check Spelling" is available for your use, just prior to posting your reply.

I don't know how you guys can make heads or tails of things by using the Main Index view. Too much jumping back and forth into and out of the different forums.

I have always used the Past 12 hours view. I go off subject headings and when they are non-descriptive, I then look under the Forum column to see what they might relate too.
