I've been passing by this tractor everyday on my way to and from work. They use it to move transmissions and anything else heavy at this shop. I never really noticed it until I got my PT. Today I had a few minutes extra and snapped some photos to share with other PT owners.

It's a little ragged, but that shows lots of work done. The owner said it was about 25 years old, made by Case, about 60hp and I think he said the brand was "Davis" but my memory isn't that great and there was a 5 minute period between here and there... and I can forget a lot in 5 minutes.

Yet another side of this animal. Nice custom touch having chrome wheels on one side, and white on the other.

Phils,

What a nifty tractor, with a strong resemblance to our "modern" PTs. Thanks for sharing.

Might be interesting to get a history on it. There are a number of books written about articulated tractors, but I wouldn't know where to begin looking. AT 60 hp, it must be a hefty little brute.

Now with a new seat from TSC, a pressure wash, some TLC and some green paint, I see a transformation in the making...

Here is another early PT want-to-be. It is a project that we built as a project in a manufacturing class that I taught about 8 or 10 years ago in a Vo-Ag program at a local high school. It was built with 2 old cub cadet rear ends placed front to front and a hydraulic motor driving each. It's drive power and power steering was supplied by a 16 hp engine and a hydraulic pump.
