Could be the rental counter person misunderstood your request. One of the nearby rentals doesn't like to rent 3 pt. equipment without their tractor hooked up to it. They have told their customers that the 3 pt. stuff may not fit on any other tractor! So maybe 175.00 was for the tractor and rototiller.

That would certainly be in line with the price. I've rented a full-sized Case 580 LBH for $185 per day. That was a little over four years ago.

Just think, if Jerry rented a LBH, he could "till" his whole garden up about two feet deep in a day's time. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

What do you think, Jerry? Would that work? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I rented a dunk tank recently and the place had a huge list (1 page, both sides, 8pt font of rental stuff). I don't know if the prices are good, (comparison) but here it is.

Attachment for Tractor:
Brushhog 4' 3pth 85.00
Grading Blade 45.00
Tiller 105.00
York Rake 6' 100.00

I think the York rake is overpriced. $400 for a new one.

Also:
Tractor 210.00
Tractor with Tiller 265.00
Tractor with York 210.00
Tractor with Brushog 255.00

This is probably really worth it.
Skid steer Kits
Loader Skid steer w/Harley Rake 295.00

Couple more of interest maybe.

110 TLB 325.00
Chipper 7" gas 205.00

If you have a Skid Steer,
Harley Rake 180.00
Auger 100.00

mmmmmm? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I know this is about tillers, but the local JD dealer quoted me $100 /day, or 300/wk for a 5' Harley Rake, but wanted $950.00 to buy a Class 1 Post Hole Digger with a 9 inch auger. Maybe I shouldn't have told him I had a BLUE tractor.

Interesting. Around here, nobody rents 3pt equipment. If you want it, it comes with a tractor attached for big $$$.

It is possible to rent skidsteer attachments; rototillers, trenchers, ect.

How long does it take to role up your 100' garden hoses ?

About 10 seconds if you do it with your tiller !
and you dont even have to get off the tractor!

It does however take considerably longer to unwind them again.... and then patch them if not totally distroyed...
lol

I realize that price will vary by region but it seems too high to me. I rented a 58" Befco last year and the rate was $50 for half day and $80 for full day.
