Alright MArk dont try to fool us with the hours,we all know how quickly time passes while on the tractor seat. I am agree with you,the loader on these is awesome and they are very user friendly.Keep the pics coming !!I will have to post some from CT if we ever get out of winter. Thanks -Lloyd

Okay, this may sound stupid to a NH owner, but what is a 'boomer?' Is that the model of tractor or what?

I am not quite sure where the word Boomer comes into it but as TractorlessSacto stated so kindly with his posted link. It is a series or model lineup of NH Compact Tractors.

A salesmen a while back said they named the series "Boomer" as they were trying to reach the "Baby Boomer" homeowner market who could afford these big toys and it was stylish enough so they would be proud enough to park them in their garages next to their "luxary" cars (as it had a price tag like one). This way they could show it off when company comes over. NH was trying to appeal to a different market, other than farmers and landscapers.

Keep posting those pictures Mark. It's giving me a lot of incentive to save $$ for my Boomer. I'm shooting for the end of August.

Howdy Mark! I didn't see a rake in that last photo, but based on what you've said about how you maintain that road, one might be the ideal implement. In between the gradings that you hire out, the rake can do a wonderful job of keeping it in top condition. What is termed a landscape rake, often referred to a York rake, with a set of gage wheels woul be perfect for keeping potholes and any ruts filled in. Besides, when your done, the road looks soooooo gooooood.

I do happen to own one of those critters. It's a Landpride 72" w/ gauge wheels. I have tried it before on the roads, there are a few spots where it helps, but most of the road surface is So HARD, the rake barely makes a scratch.

Yes that is one of the only downsides of the rake. I've seen often were folks will weight the rake down or else run a disk first. Are you saying, even now, with the frost just out of the ground, it's still to hard? Around here, usually things are soft enough for the first few weeks in March that a rake can dig in. Anyway, good to hear you have one, especially with the gage wheels - they make all the difference in the world when the surface gets to soft, although is sounds like that's not a problem for you.
