Is Upgrading to YM336 from YM276 worth it?

Yes.

And that's not the same Dealer Installed Accessory shown in rScotty's recent post and also described in this recent thread.

If yours doesn't dribble after all these years it's a better system than the dealer version which is an orphan and is nearly unrepairable. (as described in that second link).

The distinctive difference is: on the dealer version, the drag link goes into an aluminum casting several inches long, while yours goes into something only a couple of inches long.
