I'm looking at a model 1210 w/ around 600 hrs. Trying to figure out the horse power ratings, any known issues with this model, etc.

Any input you may have will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Mark

Haven't heard of a 1210. What letter prefix?

Massey has a series made by Iseki with that model number. My MF1225 is 23Hp. Tractordata.com says that the 1210 is 18hp.

Tractordata.com list 164 Iseki tractors and some of these are Grey Market, I own a TS2205 and it was never produced under any name except Iseki and was never sold in the USA so it is considered a Grey Market. The only 1210 listed in the 164 is a TX1210 and was manufactored from 1978 to 1981. It shows 12 horsepower on the engine and is a 2-cly diesel 2WD. If it were a 4WD it would be a TX1210F.

I have always been told on most Iseki tractor models with a 4 didgit model number you can determine the horsepower by the first 2 numbers in the model number. My TS2205 is a 22 horsepower tractor on the engine.

I hope this helps.

Don, I think on the four digit greys (I've always heard anyway), the first two digits are the PTO HP rating. The engine HP is usually rated at 3 to 4 HP higher, depending on the size of the engine. So a TX1210 should have a 15HP rated engine (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) and your tractor should have a 25-26HP rated engine.
