Very interested in crazy stories anyone had with Kubota (or other's) financing process. One Kubota salesman told me a few wacky stories he had before I experienced first hand the way Kubota Central Loan wanted to structure my deal or deals in a way that just defied reason... I like the dealer very much, have a history with them, so did not want to cancel and walk away from units they ordered and a trade that they picked up and already sold a week earlier. This could have been very problematic for the dealer... They are delivering the main piece (RTV-X1140) today. I refused their financing, paid the balance in full and canceled the Z411 that was suppose to be part of the deal. Anyone experience one of these things that just make you shake your head? :mur:

I'm soon to be on my 3rd Kubota and all have been very straightforward so far. Nothing strange for me at all. I like that I can set up for autodraft so I never have to write a check.

What was it in how the deal was structured that made Kubota give you a hard time ?
And If I may ask, what is your FICO score ?

pretty simple from my experience. I financed for 4 yrs 0 interest bought the 400.00 insurance policy . I pay my bill on time every month and I get several offers a yr to come buy more from them.

When I went in to buy, the dealer said: "you must have excellent credit as that was the quickest he had gotten approval in a long time." He said normally they want to talk to the applicant before approval. Go figure.

I didnt have any issues getting approved with Kubota credit...I applied in the dealer's sales office and was approved 15 minutes later...??? I've always had pretty good credit though.

I am also curious as to what they wanted to do?

I dont see how the dealer could sell your trade in and deliver to another customer before the deal had been finalized. I might have given them the option to fix the financing or get my trade back.

That's what I was thinking. I always make it clear that all deals are pending financing. Nothing happens till that is finalized.

I guess I don't understand your problem?

Credit scores are sooooooo stupid. Perfectly created by the lending institutions to entice you to stay in debt. Gotta give them credit. They understand the average American consumer very well. And they build financial empires on that understanding. :)

He didn't finance.

No, but the way I read it he wanted to but due to the way they were structuring it he didn't. And apparently before he knew that the dealership had sold his trade.

Sounds like the dealer had a problem convincing Kubota Credit how they structured the deal with a trade-in and such. I had no problems with Kubota Credit. I made the deal for the ZD1211 at the dealership. Salesman had to find me a ZD1211 as he had just sold the last one in stock. I went home and applied online. Walked into the dealership the next afternoon and told the salesman the finance option I wanted. He made one phone call to Kubota to get the loan number (computer system was down), a little paperwork was done, and 15 minutes later I loaded up my ZD1211 that he had gotten from another dealer that morning.

I agree. My credit score has dropped to 0 after we paid off our house. Now our home and auto insurance has gone up though we've never had a claim. Hmmm :(

I used Wells Fargo Ag Services. Whole process from start to finish was less than an hour, most of it was done over the phone, signed the papers and waited for delivery. Very painless process.

Not necessarily. I have been 100% debt free for years. No mortgage, no vehicle loans, nuthin'. I have a high credit limit, use only a small percentage of it, and pay in full every month. My credit score is always over 800.

My situation matches yours, except for the FICO score. I obtain my score each month through my bank credit card (the only credit card I use) and that score holds steady at 785.

According to the info accompanying the FICO score, my score is affected by (1) lack of recent installment loan information and (2) too few accounts currently paid as agreed.

As I don't plan to take out an installment loan or open new credit card accounts, it looks like I am stuck at 785.:)

. . . Kubota Central Loan wanted to structure my deal or deals in a way that just defied reason...

Kubota does not have a "Kubota Central Loan". What bogus loan company did you try to go through?
Was this some knock off company your dealer set you up with?

Why didn't you finance through http://www.kubota.com/Finance/finance-home.aspx ????

Notice the correct name, not the name you gave in your first and only post.
