That filter bowl is the same as on my MT180D and last night was -14C and I had no gelling. Must be the fuel quality.
That is exactly right. I paid extra to get "winter rated fuel" and that obviously is not "winter rated."
That is the conclusion that I have come to. I have not changed it since I got the tractor because the dealer said that it had already been changed and it looked good. Therefore, I was reluctant to drain out perfectly good oil. I have about 75 hours on it now so maybe I will just go ahead and do it. When it warms up just a bit more.You must have a heavy weight summer fluid in there!
I used an electric heat gun (like a very hot hair dryer) and pointed it to the filter area and line to the pump. And it eventually started working.
