I tried out a 790 last weekend, and liked it alot. The engine was more quiet that the MF 1429 that I also drove, and was less money too, by over $3000. I started a CK 30, but didn't drive it. Quieter than that too. I was impressed by the symplicity of the 790. No doubt an extremely reliable machine. Being the first John Deere that I have ever driven, now I understand why JD owners like them so much. Congrats!

I also have the 11.2x24 rear tires but I didn't know that they were adjustable. Do you know how to change the spacing? I checked the manual and all it says it to operate in the wide tread position whenever possible.
