I thought JD was made in Georgia. Reading online brochures now. They have more lift capacity over Kubota on comparable models.
It's pretty hard to keep track of what gets made where, but many of the Deere CUTs are only
assembled here, with parts made overseas. How much assembly is done here seems to be the question that always comes up. In some instances (various brands), all they do is add the wheels/tires, and loaders, and that counts as "assembled in the U.S.".
Kubota tends to go light on lift capacity for the FELs compared with other brands, but their tractors also tend to weigh less for similar size/HP, so that's probably a safer combination. I think Deere does a better job of matching lift capacity to size, but that's just my opinion.
Right now, Kioti, and LS offer more lift capacity for the same size/HP tractor than pretty much anybody but Mahindra, and at a lower price. For example, Deere 4000 series (4320, etc) models lift around 2,300lbs max to full height (at the pins), and an LS or Kioti of the same HP will lift over 2,600lbs (LS incorrectly states 2,500 on their website). That's not huge, but it certainly doesn't hurt.
There is no perfect....sadly. I tried to find a 40-50hp 4WD CUT that was actually made (or mostly made) in the U.S. that was even remotely in the ballpark price of the LS or Kioti tractors, and failed.
