I hope your lock is better today!

Sounds like the theme for a good country western song.
See if you can get some one to by the rights to it.

Today has been a little better. (It couldn't get worse):(
I fixed my central heat and it was only $48 for the parts.
I put Slime in my golf cart tire and it is holding but I will be getting new ones soon from Buggies Unlimited.
I picked up my colt from the vet today after his surgery. The bill was $700 but I expected it to be higher. He looks fine and everything should be ok once his hair grows back. Attached is a before and after photo.
My son was released from the hospital today also and his prognosis is pretty good though we hate to see what the final bill will be. (he had no insurance) They don't care how much they charge you anymore and without insurance a small stay can break the bank. The hospital is on a small side street and they have buildings on both sides of the street. They had to send my son to a room across the street and he could have easily walked or used a wheelchair. But they made him take an ambulance to go across the street for liability reasons. One 50' ambulance ride =$500.00. I guess he was lucky to even get admitted here because they were about to fly him to Shreveport which is 400 miles away but a bed opened up just in time. Since Katrina many of the hospitals in this area are still closed and those open are jam packed!
I think I will still wait until tomorrow though before I buy a Lotto ticket.

Common buy that lotto ticket. You never know......

Your family is still alive. It could always be worse. And the last time I looked money doesn't do anybody any good if you bury it in the casket with you.

I'd bore you with my luck but I wouldn't want you to send me your money now would I??

If that picture is what it appears to me to be, they really cut or shaved a huge area for such a small number of stitches. And I thought they shaved a lot more than was necessary to operate on our dog's right knee Monday.

I don't know why they have to shave so much but LSU is a veterinary teaching hospital so maybe they are practicing their shaving techniques:confused:

Hope it keeps getting better. My stuff pales in comparison to yours, but my day started opening the truck door and the digital camera falling onto the ground... DOOOHHHH,,,,

Life is good, just some bumps along the way.

Sorry to hear about all your losses :(; as a dog lover I am really sorry about your dog. GP's are "Noble Beasts". I remember a quote I believe comes from Shakespeare-"troubles come not as single spies, but as whole battalions". Unfortunately most of us get "hammered" at times in our lives. I hope your family and horse are doing "ok". My positive thoughts for you and yours- Jay

One of the reasons they shave so much is if they get in there and decide they need to make a bigger hole in any direction, it's too late to shave a larger area. Better to err of the safe side and shave it all.

By the way, is your horse chewing red bubble gum? If so, he blows good bubbles.

I just finished more of my favorite beverage than I usually drink and after I write this I'm going to bed. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

First thing this morning I had to bring my young horse to the LSU Veterinary Hospital where he has to spend a few days. When I got home we had to take my son to a hospital to be admitted for back problems. My wife went to the barn to feed her pygmy goats and found our Great Pyrenees dead. Coming home, in grief, she got a speeding ticket. I hopped in the golf cart to go back to my horse barn and it had a flat tire. The central heat broke. I didn't bother buying a Lotto ticket today.:(

Sorry to hear about your dog - we have a pyr ourselves - and all other trouble.
