Jim what is that red hitch pin in the side of your bucket for? Does it have something to do with removing the bucket.

JJ, when I first bought my tractor, the quick-attach bucket/skid-steer setup was not available. The pin-on bucket had a extra hole that was the perfect size for a hitch pin. I used it to make bucket hooks as shown in the attachment. That way I did not have to weld my bucket and the hooks were very near the pivot pins of the loader, giving more lifting power.

I like that idea. No welding, nothing to paint or rust and more flexible for hooking.

I finally remembered to look closer at the bucket for holes for the replacement cutting edge, there aren't any. I've been gone on a motorcycle trip, forgot all about it, sure missed reading this site though. I live in Wisconsin, rode with 3 of my brothers to Arkansas. Great trip a little cool first hundred miles or so, 25 degrees when we left. Saw a lot of Kubota compacts while riding the back roads in Arkansas and Missouri.

Nice tractor!!

Nice Idea. Anyidea who manufactured those ligfhts?? That is exactly what we are looking for to put on our MF 1523??

Here are some pictures of the rear work light the dealer installed. It is wired into the rear lights so when the lights are turned on the rear light comes on. There is a rocker switch on the back of the work light so you can turn it off and still have the headlights on. It looks like they just drilled a hole in the plastic light housing and ran the wire loom through it. It is a nice tight fit should be waterproof. The light is not speckled in the back, I don't know why it shows up that way. Maybe because it has a rough finish the flash reflected off it.

Will sorry this took so long, two nights ago our internet wasn't working. Last night I couldn't find a name on the light so I called my dealer today. He said he couldn't find a name but the part number is S-750 and they get them from a company called Vurns Wholesaling. He gave a phone number 1-800-558-0148. I hope this helps you, if I can be more help let me know. I live in Wisconsin, and the dealership is Service Motors in Wausau Wisconsin.

Awesome. Thank you for doing that.

No worries on the internet, I am on Satellite, so I know how you feel when it goes down. LAtency is a huge issue, which is really annoying. Will soon (Thankfully) be switching to DSL.

...dealer told me they sell a replacement cutting edge for it, but you use the replacement for a template and drill the holes then.

To me, that is a very bad idea.

I may be a "bucket abuser", but after a few years of work, my bucket is somewhat bent & distorted. Nothing requiring replacement, but not the "stock" condition.

If I were to try to fit a replacement edge, I have no idea how I would shape it to match, but drilling holes using a new, perfectly flat wear edge as a template would be a great way to get a real mismatch. I doubt I could cinch it down tight with the bolts.

I put the wear edge on in the first few weeks, when the bucket was perfectly straight. It has two purposes. One, it reinforces the bucket edge, keeping it from bending excessively, and two, if the bucket edge does bend, the wear edge follows it, maintaining a good fit.
