No, mine is open in the front.

I was just curious about the difference.

Great looking machine!

The very first accessory you need to put on is a steering wheel spinner knob!!! You really need to operate these machines differently than a regular vehicle or tractor and a spinner helps make the transition much easier. When faced with a steering wheel one tends to treat it like everything else one has opperated with such a wheel, but you really need to get into a different mode with these.

Most if not everyone here probably has a spinner on their PT and know what I am talking about. It makes a big difference! If you don't find one at an auto parts store, try any tractor dealer or supply store.

In any case you are right about the learning curve, we've all gone through it. Looks like you are all set to enjoy doing lots of serious work.

Thanks a Bunch!

I'll probably get a spinner, I realized I needed one the other day.

It's kinda funny. After I changed to a suspension seat, which is about 2" higher, it became more comfortable to steer without the spinner so I removed it. For me, the higher seat puts all controls in a better position. It would be nice if the canopy was raised the same amount, but hey, my head's to pointed anyway.

Are the wheels on your 1430 mounted with the deep side outward for widest track?? It looks that way!!

You will be amazed at what that Grapple Bucket can do! Have fun!!

I know you've been asked this already but what seat did you put on yours?

I just picked one up at tractor supply. If I remember right, it bolted right on but I had to drill a couple of holes to reattach the seat belt. These seats cost about $100.

They could be! I noticed how easy it was to clean off the wheel motors.

The grapple bucket is my favorite attachment! I've moved a lot with it already!
