I can understand men and their tractors, what is it with women and sewing machines? My wife has three sewing machines, I only have one tractor.

I'd like to see an auxiliary foot throttle on the kubota hst tractors. I peeked at a JD 4600's platform and I saw a tiny pedal in the middle of the deck, no doubt a throttle. That would be neat when using loader hydraulics.

The JDs only have a foot throttle on the non-HST models. I have never seen a tractor with HST and a foot throttle, although someone probably makes one. I think JD puts in the middle on the right side so that you can't have your foot on the throttle and the brakes at the same time. Wouldn't want people doing wheel-stands with their tractors./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I'll double check on that, althought I made sure that it was an HST 4600 since it had the twin pedals with the brakes on the left side. It may have been a modified model.

Actually the 186D isn't really hydrostatic. It uses hydraulic clutch packs to allow shifting without the foot clutch. This would compare more closely to Kubota's glide shift transmission than it would their hydrostatic.

Looked at a Cub 7000 series the other day (7305 ??) but it had both hydro and foot throttle.
