Wow slept last night with open windows, no cover and a fan here in Tn! Enjoy the winter up there and may it stay up there!

You are not going to believe this, but it snowed in So Cal this weekend.
On our way home from the property crossing over the "Grapevine" on Interstate 5. Elevation is only just over 4,000 feet. I'm surprised there weren't some serious accidents as some drivers just did not compensate. Not surprising at all here in So Cal.

I would take snow any day. They are calling for an inch of ice by tomorrow morn here in NE Kansas.

Since you didn't get it, I can thus conclude that unlike me you are probably a normal, well adjusted human being ;-)

After your explanation, I feel much better now! :D I had no clue.

We're (Southeast Michigan) covered with a sheet of ice today with more ice predicted overnight. :(

Skidsteer" One day in the late 60's I was on a recruiting trip to Clarkson in upstate New York around the northern border. I walked out of my motel room in the morning to go next door and get some breakfast. Since I was going right from there to recruit, I was going to drive to the diner. The car would not start, as I was eating my breakfast the guy on the radio announced " It's a lovely day here with the temperature at a balmy 22 below zero."

Ah makes sense now. I tried getting chains on my L3400 last year but there is not enough clearance between the fenders and R4s to safely get chains on the L3400. This is something you definately should know northland if you ever consider getting an L3400.

I think it was dumb for them to design things this way but that is the way it is. One would need an axle spacer of some sort to get the chains on and not tear up the fender.

I sent the chains back and am glad I never ended up spending the dough. I'm sure they would have been useful but pretty much flat land that I have, I didn't need them. Plus I would have hated the hassle of getting them on and off.

Thanks for heads-up on the L3400 tires/chain clearance. Looks like there won't be one in my future as the chains are too important for my applications.

I'm not too normal or well-adjusted-at least my wife doesn't think so.:)
