Tell me about it /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. I went out for a bike ride at lunch time yesterday. In spite of pre-loading a couple quarts of water, and drinking another 2 bottles during the ride, I had zero sweat on me at the end of the ride. Wasn't that I wasn't sweating, it's just that the evaporation was (at least) matching what my body was putting out! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Once I came to a stop for a couple of minutes (and came inside), my body turned wet all over. Tres strange.

And my wife thinks I ought to do something about the weight of the plums breaking the limbs./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif She's probably right, but I think it'll be a lot easier to leave them to their own devices and when they're through producing, then cut off any broken limbs./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Another note on the odd weather; 2 or 3 mornings ago, I went out to find solid ice on top of the car, ...today it was 90 degrees /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

Rob, this may turn out to be a short season again this year. The grasshoppers have arrived by the thousands and growing every day./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif We had hoped after two years of that, and a cooler winter than usual, we wouldn't be plagued by them this year. And my wife was right; this evening, those limbs I photographed of the plum tree broke off and fell on the ground. I had 3 limbs to get rid of, each of which I could barely pick up, and then picked up a 5 gallon bucket heaping full of green plums off the ground./w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

Yeah, GlueGuy -- you're experiencing the same heat wave, aren't you?

Don't want to take this thread off course, but this hundred degree heat would be much more tolerable if we were allowed to turn on our air-conditioners. /w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif We're back to practically living in the backyard pool. Temporary relief at least. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

This morning when I got up it was 32 degrees. I can't believe that I almost lost my whole garden to frost on June 1!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Same here Rich. We set a record for rain this month, 10" and I've been running the woodstove for the last week it's been so cold.
