It\'s wroughtn_harv\'s fault

I now have a stick welder, angle grinder, auto-darkening helmet and can't wait to get more stuff.
A welder was something I've wanted for some time but never made it very high on the priority list. But wroughtn_harv and this board has changed everything. Now I am addicted. Thanks Harv!

I found a dent in my car the other day. Wroughtn Harv is on my short-list of suspects. Also, my cat is missing as is my 5/8 deep-well impact socket. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Man I'm glad I read that a second time. For a minute I had my feelings really hurt. I thought at first glance you'd said "<font color=blue>Wrought'n Harv is on my list of short suspects</font color=blue>."

Kc5dlo, know what you mean. Looking at all of Harv’s projects and the fact that he is willing to show some of the tricks has me looking at welders also. The biggest problem is that I tell the wife to look what this guy is doing, we have to get a welder. She rolls her eyes, never looks at the photo and says “This is another tractor thing, isn’t it.” I try to tell her its not a tractor thing, its tools to make tractor things and save money. She say, “Ya, you’ll spend a couple of thousand dollars on tools to make something we can by for $200.” SHE JUST DOESN’T UNDERSTAND! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Mark, there is nothing wrong with your wife. Do not attempt to adjust the controls. This is normal female behavior. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Re: It\'s wroughtn_harv\'s fault

This is somewhat related to the wife vs. tools dilemma we all face. My wife is an avid collector of Longenbarger Baskets (highly prized with a cult like following and expensive - I counted the other day and she has 76 of them). Everytime I complain about her buying a basket ($50-$200+ each) she compares it to me buying a tool. The other day she needed something fixed on her car and asked me to help her. I responded by saying, "OK, I'll get my tools you get a couple baskets and we get the car fixed!" We both laughed. Then I fixed the car while the baskets sat neatly arranged on various places throughout the house. She still loves me.

Your wife sounds like a real "basket case" /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Oops /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif just saw weightlifting in your bio. I better issue a retraction for that "basket case" comment. /w3tcompact/icons/clever.gif

BTW, my wife collects dolls. At least a basket can be used to carry your tools. I have'nt found a use for any of the dolls yet. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif Maybe a doorstop ? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

"At least a basket can be used to carry your tools."

You don't know anything about Longanberger baskets do you. My wife has some. They do the same thing as her dolls do. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif
