It\'s your fault!
OK, I've seen a bunch of posts thanking TBN folks for helping with a tractor purchase, but to be honest, those posts should mostly say it's all your fault!
Fact is, I wouldn't even have a tractor if it weren't for TBN. Just think of all the time I've spent using the tractor this summer when I could have been inside writing or reading or practicing my blues harp or something. Instead I was pulling stumps, splitting logs, spreading mulch and all that.
What's more, you've cost me a small fortune and it's getting worse! I spent close to 20K on a tractor, then had to buy all the usual stuff to go with it like chains and a quick hitch and lots of pins and fuel and fuel additives. Then I had to build a machinery shed to put the tractor in (another 10K). You've convinced me that I need a woodchipper, and a carry all, and a tiller. Now I'm looking at the tractor and the amount of land I have, and I'm thinking that I really need more land to go with the tractor I bought. How much is that going to cost?
Then, watching Von's thread on the UNIMOG and various threads on welding have now convinced me that I need a Hobart 180 welder and a restoration project, which, by the way, will require me to run electricity (220) to my machinery shed, or maybe build another project shed. How much is that going to cost?
And finally, with the admittedly very engrosing conversation on TBN, I spend way too much time talking to a lot of people I don't know (plus one I do) on the internet. I think I need a new computer. Good grief.
In this, all members of the TBN community are culpable. I should sue.
All I can say is thanks a lot.
