Well it has been super dry here with lots of wind to dry everything further. Sure makes it difficult to keep enough moisture on the lawns. Sprinklers are working overtime to keep up with the new seed areas in this dry weather.

You are in a dry region of the country, if I am not mistaken. Has water ever been rationed or regulated there.?? Is the Colorado River your water resource.??

Re: I've Decided; No x300

Here in SE Ohio we've had incredible amounts of rain. In April we had the second most rain of any month on record in this area. The only month that had more was in 1937 when we had the worst floods on record for our area. And May isn't going to be much better. The flood on the Mississippi is largely a result of the rain in our region. It never really rained enough in a single day to have bad flooding here but it accumulated on the river before it reached the Mississippi and the flooding occured there.

It's unbelievable how much rain we've had. The whole region has had a lot of rain but our area has been particularly drenched. I think there were about 3-4 days in the first 20 days of May that it didn't rain a lot. Every time I'd look at a forecast map it would list rain for every single day. My yard has been so wet I can't get my trailer out without tearing out half my grass. My yard looked really nice for a while until I needed my trailer a couple of times and now it looks like a construction site.

I've seen as much as 8" of rain in a single day before and I was riding my ATV on the side of a mountain when I got hit with half that amount in 45 minutes. Now that was rain. I thought for sure a flash flood was going to wash me right off the side of that mountain.

I bought my X304 a little over a year ago. The Kawasaki engine is strong and it's a lot quieter than the Craftsman I had prior. The frame, blade deck is extremely solid. Even the foot pedals are really thick and bulky. I'm impressed with the steering (turns like a zero turn), the low decibel sound, the unbelievable gas mileage and the fit and finish. The hydrostatic tranny is awesome and makes it so easy to cut around shrubs, etc. Yeah, it was expensive, but I really enjoy cutting the grass these days.
