Re: I\'ve outgrown my tractor
That's not unreasonable for the Kubota, but maybe shy of what you want in HP, I guess. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif You really haven't said what scale of an operation you're looking into. Surely not 16 acres. If so, drop a bottom off your plow and keep your tractor.
If you have other land, then maybe you could use a bigger tractor. The 50-100hp hayfeild tractors have gone up since cattle did likewise. 100+hp range is the bargain, except for fuel , if your not taking advantage of the hp by using big equipment I see Case 1175, JD4430, Ford 8700 etc for $3-6k at austion The JDxx40s Indy speaks fondly of can't be had for under $10k around here (even worn out). Same goes for Ford 6xxx, 7xxx, but might could find a 5xxx around your budjet.A JD xx10, xx20, xx30, can also fit.,as well as some early to mid '80s IH, MF, BUT....take a real tractor mechanic with you to look at it before you buy and stay away from powershifts, even if it works fine....now.
