J Series Factory Cabs

I recently found out that LS is producing factory hard cabs for their J Series tractors in Europe. I contacted LS directly to see if these cabs could be purchased in the US. Here is the response I received:

Directly from our CEO - The cost of the cab is extremely high and when you take the freight into account from Germany it will work out to over $ 4500. We are in the process of developing our own cabs for the J series . However it will not be available till next year but it will be more competitive in price. Further the roll over protection on the cab does not conform to USA safety regulations but to European standards which are different.

$4500 is cheap compared to what they want for aftermarket cabs in this area.

That's what I thought. I'd gladly pay that much for a factory hard cab. Even better if they are going to sell them cheaper!
