Jarp 12 volt Hydraulic pump

A friend gave me a 12 volt pump for the dump trailer I am building. The aluminum case says JARP which is a firm in Wausau, Wi that manufactures hydraulic rams for escavators. The pump connected to the starter has John S. Barnes Corp. written on it and a model number of GC 5052 A CA 1. I can't find anything on the net about this pump as far as capacity or pressure. I guess the only route to take is install it and see if it can do the job.

The relief pressure is probably around 2000 to 2500 psi.

Put a gage on it and check pressure.

This is similar. It is a GC series pump.

Thats what I was guessing . I think it will work for my application but the aluminum tank might not hold enough oil for the 5x15 ram. I checked it with water and it held 2 and 1/3 quarts. I will plug it in and try it. May have to weld up a larger tank but the main issue is if the pump works properly.
