Never dealt with them, they seem to have bought out several other dealers in their expansion.
Not always a good thing.
They are a Western NY organization quite a run from your area.
I have heard of Mabie Brothers and mostly decent things but they are clear out in the Syracuse area.

Yes, they are a long way away, but the closest Fendt dealer. From what I can tell, Java was a single location in Java, NY. Then in 2019 they bought Mabie who had 4 locations at the time. So now it's 5 locations and all Java. I think Mabie was a Massey dealer, so I'd guess that's the Agco connection and how they became a Fendt dealer.

My neighbor bought 2 Massey Ferguson tractors from Mabie Bros. Kirkville store. 1st was a SCUT then he traded in for a larger CUT. He liked dealing with them. They always had parts in stock such as filters, oil etc. I can't speak for their service dept. because I took care of that for my neighbor. Neighbor passed away a couple years ago and his wife sold the tractor. To my knowledge Mabie Bros. was an excellent dealer. Since they became Java I don't know if the original people are still there or not or how their service is. I'm not bad mouthing them just saying I've had no dealings with the new owners. Sorry I can't be of much help.

I have been following your Fendt pursuit. I understand why you’d want one.
My thought is no matter what dealer you choose, make them guarantee they will give you the same distinguished Fendt warranty service at YOUR location as they would someone closer to a Fendt dealer.
I’ll bet you coffee and a breakfast sandwich they will have a stronger presence in your area in the next few years. Fendt is a growing brand and with the sunsetting of the Challenger brand, you’ll see Fendt spread more. Fendt’s tracked tractors and some other units are just like Challengers but painted Fendt green. I just saw a Fendt square baler and they look just lake an AGCO/Massey/Hesston painted Fendt green.
All AGCO massey dealers will all eventually have Fendt offerings, IMO

You had me excited when you said Fendt square baler. Then I went and checked it out and you meant big square. lol. Maybe by the time I upgrade my small square to an inline I can get the 1840 in Fendt green.

Thanks for the ongoing assistance and guidance. Coffee and a sandwich sounds great, but I won't take that bet :) I too expect that more and more Massey Dealers will start to carry Fendt. That will make a dealer two hours away which isn't great, but it sure is better than 5-6 hrs away.

I discussed the "Gold Service" package with the dealer and expressed my doubt that it would be practical for them to fulfill the promise given my distance. He was adamant that they would do it, including coming to me for the scheduled services that are included for the first 3 (or maybe 5?) years.

Right now we are trying to find a 200 and a 300 that I can look over and operate. None are in stock, so it's a matter of finding a willing customer with one, or traveling to a dealer somewhere else in the country.

AGCO dealers are usually very good. They have to be to keep up with Deere & Case-IH/NH. I have no idea why…..AGCO is just as good.
So massey doesn’t offer anything in your size needs range?

It's the same dilemma with Deere, Case, Massey, NH. To get a CVT it just puts me in too big a tractor. Fent appears to be the only company with a CVT in the 9,000-10,000 lb tractor range with a sub 100" wheelbase. I don't hay and I don't row crop, and that seems to be where there is no down side to a bigger tractor. I do some field mowing, but all my other work is in the woods or relatively confined spaces, so too big ends up not being helpful, won't fit in my equipment building, etc.

Tractors that are a good size/power fit are Deere 5 series, Massey 4700 or 5700, Case model that I don't recall, and I think NH T5 series. But all are either only available in some form of power shift, or the models with a CVT are at teh high end of the model line with more like 150hp and physically much bigger.
