I just found out that they were made by Mustang from 1973 to 1977, and use Mustangs 1 pin quick attach system. Thats about all I know at this point.

The JD 170 was manufactured by Owatonna MFG (Mustang) back in the early '70s. It was Owatonna's knockoff of the very popular Bobcat 610 skidloader. It has a mechanical drive system utilizing steel clutch plates ( troublesome) and a rubber drive belt. It was heavy, underpowered, and prone to mechanical breakdown. Unless you are very mechanically inclined, I would pass on this unit. A Bobcat 600 or 610 would be a much better machine of this vintage. Easy to work on, very reliable and great parts availability.
