JD 2020 - Hydraulic Pump Leak?

Disassemble completely. The pistons have springs that will force them out of their bores when pump shaft is removed from pump body therefore pump would require disassembly to reinstall pistons then springs.

Gotcha. One more question. Where is the "plastic frt pump seal drain back to trans shift cover line" you mentioned. Appreciate the help.

Plastic line goes from pump housing to top of oil reservoir by radiator then from there to trans shift cover.

Tx Jim. I replaced the bleed line, which was leaking, but I still have a hydraulic leak from the pump. Is it difficult to disassemble the pump to replace the shaft seal (i.e. are special tools required?). I believe I have a 1.38 IN.3 CA1 pump. Will I mess anything up mowing with it until I get a chance to work on it?

To replace the correct seal to stop leak one needs to remove all pistons/springs by removing plugs around outer circumference of pump body then separating pump housings to remove shaft so seal can be replaced.
