Hi everyone. I am looking at the 2025 for 17.500.00. Is that a good tractor and price? I am torn between this and the Kubota 2620. Any help would be appreciated.
Welcome. I have a Kubota B2920 (same as the B2620 + 3hp). I don't have anything negative to say about it up to this point. The Kubota Bxx20 series tractors have proven themselves to be tough/reliable. I have no experience with the JD.
As 'McREBEL' asks, we need a bit more detail as to what you're planning on using a/the tractor for + is that price including a Front End Loader (FEL). Also, if a FEL is included, what would you be planning on using it for.
You need to take into consideration future uses for your rig... call it your 'wish list'.
Kubota M8540HDC, L5740HSTC, BX2200, BX2660, John Deere 425&1025R, Case, Massey Ferguson, Ford
As noted, you are comparing a SCUT to a CUT, so use may well dictate which is the better choice. We have two BXs and just bought a new 1025R as we have several CUTs and UTs. I personally prefer the B2601 to the B2620.
I did a ton of research before I bought and ended up deciding between a B3350 and a 2032R. In the end it came down to the dealer/service department and which tractor I liked using better.
I'd recommend spending a bit of time at both dealerships, get a quick tour of their service departments, test-drive the two you're considering as close together as possible (test drive one, then head to the other dealer and try that one) and then make a decision.
And don't second-guess yourself. They're both top-shelf tractors. There isn't a wrong decision, which is why you should just go with the one that feels right and don't look back.
For us, we went with the 1025R. The easy load loader and the drive on/off deck was the important factors to me. My wife will be using the loader for her horse barn.
