JD 2030 Gas farm tractor Electrical question..

Wiring harness shorted out and burned several wires. Rebuilding wiring harness. Two wires (Red and Black) come out of distributor. Where do these wires attach? Know one goes to coil, but which one and which post, there are a positive and negative post on coil, and where does other attach?

Distributor wire goes to negative post of the coil. I only remember one wire from the distributor on my 2030 gas (only owned 3-4 years) sold over 20 years ago. Maybe some one added an extra wire for better ground??? Wire from points goes to negative post of coil. Positive post of coil should have two wires.
