Recently picked up a '79 JD 2040 that had a welded rim on one side, and a riveted rim on the other.
Currently, the rear wheels are centered OK, and are a hair over 7 wide.
I've got a 6 foot tiller that I want to run on this, but because of the 2 styles of rims, I can't see a way to get a narrower width without having each side a different distance from the centerline of the tractor.
Looking around, I found a decent deal on 2 steel rims (part # AT429861), but before I pull the trigger on these, wondering if anyone can tell me what width I can expect from using these ?
