I'VE JUST INSTALLED NEW BELTS ON MY OLD 210, AS WELL AS SQUARING UP THE MOWER DECK. NOW THERE'S A BIND IN THE CLUTCH, IT DOES NOT RETURN AS FAST AS IT SHOULD. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I'VE DONE?

Sounds like you just need to adjust the variator drive. This is normal after replacing the drive belts. There should be a blank cover over an access hole on the right side of your mower near the variable speed lever. If you pull that plug you will be able to get a socket on a nut that when loosened slightly will allow you to adjust the variator drive. BTW the engine needs to be running when you do this. This is explained in the owners manual if you have one and is not difficult at all. I had a 210 and later a 214 for years - very reliable tractor mowers. Good luck /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
