I have been shopping around for the new JD2210 but not having much luck. I have been to three dealers, called four others inquiring about the JD 2210 but seems like they are either extremely high priced or unavailable. The prices I have been quoted with just a 62" mower are over $11,500 while other dealers say they can't get them until next fall. All of the dealers seem to be very arrogant and unwilling to deal. I know several people with Kubota tractors that say I can pick up a BX2200 with a 60" mower for under $10,000, so I am debating on whether to give up on the JD or not. Has anyone else had a similar experience while looking for the JD 2210. I have seen the other posts on this site commenting that both are very close in price, but I am not having the same experience. Thanks.

Yes, the 2210 seems to be hard to find sometimes. That is what is generating the high prices.
Here's the list price:
2210 $10199
62C $1599
hardware $200

total $11998

Most folks seemed to be able to get a discount anywhere from 5% to 15%. If there aren't many to be had you'll probably pay close to list.

Have you tried out both machines (JD & Kubota)? Before you make your decision you should at least feel how they are.

RSRBUCK:
Your profile doesn't say where you are located. You might have better luck, or get some recommendations on dealers to check if you let us know where you are. Prices do vary regionally, and in some areas, JD seems to be higher than Kubota or NH, but in other areas they seem to be very competitive.

I am located in southeast Ohio (Marrietta area). No I have actually not tried out either the JD or the Kubota. I have actually only seen the JD 2210 at one dealer, it was already sold and not available to jump on and try out. I guess I probably need to either wait and see if the JD availability gets better over the next few months or go ahead and check out the Kubota.

Hi there

Maybe you want to take a road trip to Wisconsin close to the twin cities. I just got a 2210 with 62 MMM and FEL for 12400,
The dealer said he was a John Deere high volume dealer what ever that means. He is one of the larger ones in the area. He said he can get them and usally has several on the lot. I know there was one a few days ago, but they go quick. You really need to check both JD and Kubota out, I started out to get the BX but when I tried em both I just like the Deere a bit better. So far I've been very happy with it, it seems to have more power then traction. I rented a 50 inch tiller yesterday and the rental guy asked what I was gonna use it on and I said a 23 horse 2210 and he laughed and said they usally have that tiller on a 40 horse tractor. I told him I would just have to go slow, well turns out the tractor had plenty of power and handled with no problem. Good luck shopping hope ya find one, any questions just holler

later
Phil

I too had the same problem, went to about 7 dealers in 2 states, I have only seen about 5 units, got to drive one. I was sure that was the tractor for me, but I could not find a decent dealer that had one. One dealer who had 2 to sell told me straight up after quoting me a price of $14,700 delivered with a FEL and 54" MMM, "They have been a real hot seller for JD, and they are in real demand-I have 2 to sell so that is my price"

Neeedless to say, I left and will not go back there.
After doing alot more research, I have pretty much decided on a 4110. It has the same engine as the 2210, But a larger frame, true cat. 1 3PH,1100ish lbs 3PH capacity, independant brakes, Cruise control, 200lbs more loader capacity, larger tires, can get R4 tires for it, 2 hydrolic pumps, can add rear hydrolics, a folding ROPS is standard, and other stuff I cannot think of now.

Plus It can get it alot sooner than a 2210. The quoted price is $3,500 more than the 2210, but I feel like it will pay for itself in the long haul...
I think I am going to order it on Tuesday...Wish me luck!

These are just my thoughts, and they are worth what you paid for them!

I priced the 2210 and Kubota in Southeast Indiana for $12900.
The 2210 with FEL and 62", Kubota BX2200 same except 60". The dealers did not have any stocking but are supposed to have some in this week.
Both my dealers are good, From what I have read here both are good tractors. What I have not seen discussed is resale. Which tractor would carry the best resale?
After all, John Deere is not really a Deere, I have not seen good resale on Yanmars.
But, I will try both tractors out and go with the one that fits me better.

Waiting patiently

Steve

Ok then, where is the problem? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is there a feature or capability that is driving you to the $1500 higher unit that you can't even have from the very arrogant dealer? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Color? Perhaps, my freind just bought a 2210 because his wife would only let him get a cute little green and yellow!! I guess I can understand this. I am 150 pounds, yet I buy Type 1A ladders just to get them in Orange. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been looking at the BX2200 JD2210 Kioti ck20 and MF GC2300. Have driven the all but the MF. I found the kioti more tractor than I need but it drove smooth.
I got a good price from a close dealer on the BX200 $11,800 with 60mmm, fel, rake, loaded tires, back work light. Nice dealer willing to spend time and give information to a novice. The tractor vibrates a little too much for me, Not sure I like the foot pedal. Look at the metal body parts and see rust in 10 years ? Fel controls a little farther away that I like. MMM a little loud.
The JD 2210 $12,600 with 54mmm, fel. Much more but it was much quiter, very little vibration, has a tach. Fel controls very close. I like the plastic deck and fenders, hood. No rust there in 10 years. Actually don't like the yellow seat. Gets real dirty. I have a JD lk277 lawn tractor now. One year old, hope to trade it in. It's my secod JD lawn tractor. JD dealer at least 1 hour away.

I wish I liked the BX instead but can't convince myself to get it. Dealer about 20 min away. Very nice guy, good pricing.
I must be crazy ?
I need convincing !
Any thoughts ?
