JD 2305 Power Beyond

I have a 2305 with PB for backhoe. I am connecting a control valve to the PB hoses when backhoe is removed. I can see where both of the PB hoses connect to the top of the SCV but I'm not sure which one is the pressure hose and which is the sump return.

Any help is appreciated.

The valve has no markings? They are usually marked IN, I, OUT, or O.

What valve is it? Do you have a picture?

Well the "Quick and Dirty", pardon the pun, way would be to remove the lines and crank the engine(compression release or shutoff engaged so engine won't start) to see which port flows oil?

As for the valve that the PB hose come from; It is the stock SCV that comes on the 2305.

Sorry, I misread your question, I thought you were adding a valve...anyway:

The bracket that holds the QD for the power beyond loop should have a label on it-at least the larger tractors do...but IIRC the side with the hose is the pressure, and the QD mounted to the bracket should be the return. I just looked on JDParts to confirm this but I could not find the power beyond kit for the 2305

Like you, I checked the JD site, nothing. I have the JD "Tech" Cd but it doesn't help.

Having spent a lifetime as a lineman and taken many a hydraulic bath, I thought I could avoid this one.
