I have had a 2305 for the last 4 years. I have kept it in the garage, and performed the maintenance per the owners manual (and then some on the oil changes). The other day I was cutting the grass and the motor just shuts off. Tank is about 3/4 full. I got to start it back up it takes quite a few times but starts and barely runs then kicks in and runs fine for 30 seconds then dies. Rinse and repeat 4 more times. I have been reading in the forms it is most likely a clogged fuel line or filter. the filter looks good but I will replace it anyways. I think my next step is to blow out the fuel line from the tank to filter. My question is

1. Is there a screen in the tank where trash might be getting stuck? (if not) Should i really need to drain the tank and take that all apart?
2. If It was a fuel issue from the tank to the filter shouldn't the fuel in the filter be gone when the tractor stops running if the clog was between the tank and the filter? (IE is consumed all the fuel in the filter area and it can get enough fuel because of the clog). When the tractor dies because not enough fuel to the engine I would think that the fuel in the filter area would be completely gone if the clog was between the filter and the tank right?

Thanks
Justin
