Be prepared to mow with your loader on the tractor, or invest in some weights to hang off the front.

5309,

I have a Frontier GM1072R on my 2520, and I have lots of hills (20 degree side slopes). The mower is over 800lbs and tends to drag the rear end of the tractor around, even with three wheel weights per side and the loader frame mounted. I also need to be in 4WD all the time to have enough traction to move the mower. If you have flat property, this may not be an issue for you.

If I'm mowing really tall, thick grass and going up one of these slopes, I find that I will have to back off the "go" pedal a little to keep the RPM's in acceptable range, but otherwise, the tractor seems to have enough HP for the job. Not sure how this translates to the 2320 which has slightly less HP.

I'd sure be tempted to go with the 60 inch mower unless I really needed bigger for some reason. The 60 will cover your tracks and might be a little lighter and easier to maneuver.

Best of luck.

I tend to agree with Runner, in that long term a 60" mower will put less strain on the tractor. Take it easy and either will work.

I have the same mower as Runner, just with Woods stickers, that I run behind a 3320. It is a pretty heavy mower and I can definitely notice when I lift and drop it with the 3 pt. I have only had it bog the RPM's down once on a really thick, tall section of grass when I was running at a good clip. I would probably go with the 60" behind a 2320 as well, less stress on the tractor in general.

I use a JD 60D autoconnect on a 3520 MMM. I have absolutely no regrets not to have chosen a 72D. It covers my tracks and is wide enough to work fast without being too heavy or too cumbersome, especially when there are flowers or trees around. The tractor handles it easily, but it's already a big heavy deck.

Thanks guys, I think I will probably go with the 60", I would rather be over powered than under powered.
