My 2520 has a real sloppy feel to its FEL Handle. Its not a huge deal, but its annoying when you try and do precision work with it because you need to move it past all the "slop" before it starts activating the next control. The handle on mine slops mostly side to side in the curling position, and I'm wondering if there is any way to eliminate that?
I ripped it all apart this week and adjusted the adjusters at the bottom on the lever and its reallly not much better!

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Your valve is probably not that sloppy.

If it is cable operated, that is the most likely cause.

Inspect all the parts for looseness and replace/repair.

Look at the hole in the spool shaft also.

Its all turnbuckle adjuster and push rods. They are not worn, just all kinds of slack in them. I adjusted everything I could and all it really did was change the location of the FEL handle. Hmmmm

My 4110 is the same, I just learned to live with it. The only cure I know would be to custom machine bushings for all the linkage pivots rather than just having a pin through a punched hole.

Mine is the same, it bothered me at first but now that I am used to it, I don't mind.

dang, was hoping to snug it up!

Yeah, have the same complaint about mine. Tried to tighten it up, and even put some spacers in it with no Improvement. Its just not made with very tight tolerances.

Might be able to take it apart and drill the holes out. Then put bigger pins it that fit snug. That's what guys do on bigger machines.
