Lol... yup, bare concrete is hard to find for most of us. I was lucky enough to be able to use the shop where I work to paint this. Heated, plenty of room to let it sit till after work tomorrow, then load it up. My barn? Even if I move the tractor outside I still have a hard time squeezing a truck in the work bay area.

Lookin good Greg. If I had done the painting everything in that shop would be green, including the floor!!! Anxious to see it installed!!!! :)

Thanks for the compliments. I looked at it more closely when I got to work today, a bit disappointed, I was running out of paint, in poor light, and there are thin spots where you can still see primer. Not bad, and it's good enough for now. It's going on the tractor this weekend, period. I will still add a few things to it, rear light tabs, chain saw scabbard bracket, log chain holder, etc, and repaint as needed when the weather is better.

Well.... it's on there. I won't talk about the scratched paint on the cage or the hood, but installation went easy enough, it's all bolted down tight. I didn't put any innertube between any mounting points, as I didn't have any handy. I'll run it like this for now. Need to get a sheet of some type of roof for rain/snow reasons. I also didn't weigh it before put it on, but my guess is the grill guard part is not much more than 5 to 10 lbs heavier than the factory one, and the main cage is likely 100 to 150 lbs, due to how easily I can pick it up and move it around alone.

Pictures to come... photo bucket is jacked up at the moment.

You sound just like me Greg. Only way I ever ask for help is if it's absolutely impossible for me to do it myself!!!!!

Anxious to see it all buttoned up.

Concerning the rubber. You may not need it. I ran my tractor a few minutes with the rack on but not the cover. I didn't notice any reverberation. Man when I bolted on the metal cover that all changed!!!! So my isolator is located between the cage and the roof material.

Great ideas above that I forgot. When I put my roll cage on and it vibrated, I put rubber in one space at a time until it stopped. Places where I had a firm 100% metal to metal contact I had no vibration and no rubber was needed. I found that fine thread bolts helped me get a tighter mount.

The top especially vibrated and I had to work at that. If you put too much pressure on a thinner metal top and depress it, it will wear a hole in the metal top where it vibrates and hits the bolt. I used front tower shock bushings for a Chevy.

Sure wish you would have the time to get a second coat of paint on that before you mounted it.

I hate asking for help... I normally find a way to do things on my own, some how or another. Might take me twice as long, but I find a way.

I am lucky enough to have an I-beam in the barn with a roller hanger for chain hoists (5 ton, 1 ton) to use in situations like this. The little one is a nice size for the projects I do, never use the big one, doubt the beam would handle what it could lift anyway. So lifting the cage into place was easy enough.

I am going to be irritated every time I sit in the seat, one of the thin spots in the paint is the left post, right where I will see it as I exit the operator's station. However... it's fine for now, later this spring /summer when I have plenty of paint ready, and the additional things added, good paint can happen. Brush cage mesh panels back and sides is next.

Photo bucket is still not working. Site says down for maintenance, but if my pictures get lost... I have over 2700 pictures stored there. Lots of truck and tractor tech shots... would hate to loose it.

I have a photobucket account with 100s of pics. I quit using it because if I post a pic using it the viewer gets access to my entire account. Maybe I have some setting wrong?
