Price Check JD 325 or Gt235

Looking for a lawn tractor. I have the opportunity to purchase a 2001 325 with 350 hours and rebuilt 48 deck. ($1400) Seems to be in decent shape. Or a 2003 GT 235 with 243 hrs and supposedly well maintained since new by original owner. 48 deck as well. ($1650). I have not looked at either yet in person. They are both 1.5 hrs away.

I understand the technical differences and wonder how much maintenance the hydraulic lifts require and if it痴 worth it. I知 in Ft Worth TX so no snow to worry about. Mainly just mowing maybe an acre of hilly grass and pulling a loaded wagon sometimes.

I think the 235 is probably a little bit nicer machine condition wise but a little more $

The 325 was available with a single cylinder or a twin cylinder varient. I would only go for the twin. Otherwise, I would jump on both. Make an offer on the 235, maybe they'll go for it.

It's a 2001 so it should have the twin.

Years ago i bought a brand new gt235 with a Kawa v twin like a 671/617 ? Paid almost $5200 with a pull behind cart . We are still useing it in a
plant nursery business along with two other partners i have . All we have done is belts/blades/batteries/deck wheels and regular maintenance on it , with probably close to 10 different operators throughout the years . Its been a fantastic "GT". However if i didnt have to pull anything with it and needed it just to cut grass i would put that money towards a new "quality" ztr mower . Much faster and more manuverable , and probably a better ride . Just my thoughts . Oh btw not sure because our gt235 is like 31 north of me but i'am guessing it must have like 1200 plus hours on it maybe more .
