I have a 1999 JD 325 yard tractor, does anyone know how to by-pass so when you put it in reverse the deck don't stop? ( besides lifting up on the lever) mowing it isn't so bad, but snowblowing it is a pain..
Thank you for any replies /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There is a way but I'm not going to put it in writing. Suffice it to say there is a switch that gets engaged that is part of the reverse hydro linkage. Trace the linkage and you'll find your answer.

Sorry I can't be more specific but I'm trying to avoid any problems for this site or for me!

The easiest way I found is to pull the connector off the back of the switch. Then use a 2-inch strand of copper wire (from a stranded piece of speaker wire) and jump it across the two correct pins by placing each end of the copper strand in the appropriate holes of the connector. Then simply plug the connector back into the back of the switch.

Which two pins you ask? I don't remember. But using an OHM meter one can measure for the short when the switch is in its "up" position. Be sure to get the rights pins by moving the switch up and down a couple of times verifying that the OHM meter corresponds appropriately.
